His second feature film, “The Year My Parents Went on Vacation” , competed in the 2007 Berlin Film Festival and has already won important prizes in Brazil .
His first feature was “Rá-Tim-Bum Castle” (1999), a children's movie that has had a good international career in festivals such as Toronto Children's Festival (Best Film) and the Chicago Festival (Best Film).
His five shorts have won more than fifteen international prizes, and he has been invited to important festivals, such as the “New Director, New Films” in New York .
On TV, he created and directed the HBO produced series “Filhos do Carnaval” , which was nominated for The International Emmy Awards in 2006 and awarded Best TV Program of 2006 by the Brazilian Critics Association.
He has created and directed important works such as the commended children's series "Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum" (1995) - which has won prizes all over the world - and one episode of the highly-acclaimed “ City of Men” series (2004) for TV Globo, among others.
